A Message About Exclusive Buyer Agents from the NAEBA President

Dec 13, 2017Real Estate Tips

The home buying season is heating up right on cue as spring arrives. Finally, you can leave the cozy comfort of internet searching and get out and tour actual homes in the fresh air and sunshine.

If you’ve found your way to this blog post you are at least somewhat aware of the risks and hazards of buying a home. Or being sold one, to be more accurate. That is why you are checking out Exclusive Buyer Agents in the first place.

An Exclusive Buyer Agent (EBA) has no listings to sell you. They will help you buy from the inventory on the market, both the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) and FSBOs (For Sale by Owners). They will be your guide and trusted advisor with fiduciary duties of full confidentiality, full disclosure, obedience, and loyalty. An EBA is always on your side, and always has your back. That is a very different experience than being ‘sold’ a home, don’t you think?

It’s very exciting to buy a new home but make sure you take steps in the right direction that will lead to success without too much stress. And that means talking to your lender to know what you can comfortably afford, and then hiring an EBA to serve as your guide and trusted advisor during the home search and, even more importantly, during the complex purchase process leading to closing and your finally receiving the keys to your new home.

As the President of NAEBA, I am pleased to tell you that we have some fine members ready to serve you in your exciting home buying venture. You may want to read our earlier blog post where a survey found that our members were more educated and experienced than the average real estate agent.

You were smart enough to find your way to this site; be smart again, take the next step and find an Exclusive Buyer Agent to serve you.
